      One of the big focuses these days, especially with MyHeritage as a customer, is figuring out how to make the model more robust with -real world- old photos. That's an interesting puzzle, as it requires creative problem solving in effectively "simulating" old photo issues.

      Yes! I have a bunch of photos but many were taken with poor lighting etc. Any idea if datasets exist of well preserved photos and aged? One idea is: buy very old issues of time magazine and use the digital scans as the target.

      We have a lot of our own genuine aged photos (over a million) but not corresponding well preserved counterparts. Not a bad idea that you're suggesting there- quite creative!

          I am creative. What I lack is the ability to execute. Specifically to build applications. Tons of Python experience but so much focused on scripting. I am learning Vue to get a more well rounded skill set. :)
