1/ When I said "research is done by people...people make mistakes"...that includes me. Especially me! Tonight I had a bitter sweet realization that an idea I had about what was going awry in some DeOldify images turned out to be right. I just realized this after 8 MONTHS.
2/ I turns out I ruled out the idea based on a bad design decision. This happens ALL THE TIME. I guess there are multiple ways of finding the right way eventually. Either you can be smart the first time, or perhaps just drunkenly stumble until you inevitably end up there.
3/ It pays to be skeptical. And above all, it pays to be skeptical of yourself- your memories, your conclusions, your perceptions, your ego- everything. EVERYTHING!
