I'd be curious to have more elaborate thoughts of yours on the subject
Using the code in my mind only benefits them if I actively promote it and say "hey Facebook's Pytorch is awesome!". So basically I'm not in a hurry to replace the code base. Whereas divorcing myself and the company from their social network makes a tangible impact.
