I remember back during the 2008 financial crisis, there were some fringe hucksters pushing the "greatest depression"/hyperinflation narrative, gold/silver, etc. Peter Schiff, Gerald Celente, Max Keiser, etc. I just checked. They're at it again. Kinda funny, kinda sad.

Yeah not claiming that at all. I just don't hold my wallet held wide open for hucksters to rip my money out when things like 2020 happen and they inevitably come of of the woodwork to sell you on the idea that they are prophets. Just search their activity over the years.

I too bought gold in 2008 and then sold it in 2009 for a nice 25% gain. Yes. I know what inflation is. Yes I get the basic dynamics. People go to gold when they're scared. I just don't listen to people who make a living off of repeating the same doom tale over and over.
