That hasn’t been my experience. If you’re rude, then yeah you’ll probably get banned, just like you’d probably get blocked on Twitter. But they’re usually willing to talk about ~anything. They talk about similar things and feel similar ways, but that’s true of most groups.
Finally. Something to keep in mind on these sorts of forums: They are aggressive about keeping the bubble sealed tight and banning anybody that challenges them. You're talking as if they're just all about civilly participating in the "free market of ideas" and being generally rational with a conservative slant. That is far from the truth. Their first rule was "this forum is for serious supporters". On that basis they banned.
