1/ Almost two years ago I worried I was a bit foolish that I was pursuing state of the art image colorization that people would pay for. After all, Google already had announced that they were working on it. How could I compete with that?

2/ Well I also had enough experience in software to know that a lot of true innovation and advances simply require smart choices and dedication to the problem. More controversially- I'm strongly of the opinion that software by large groups is hampered by group think.

3/ So here we are in the present, and we're still ahead of the game. I'm quite surprised to be honest, even with the beliefs going into this of the power of individual dedication. I'm not saying this to brag but I just want to share what I think will be helpful for others.

1/ The most important thing I've read about in my mind is core problem solving skills along with learning about the numerous shortcomings/strengths of the brain. So here's a list of books that may or may not be in audio book form:
