My personal feeling (and it’s just mine) is that I wouldn’t be doing any ML if not for open source projects I could look at. Because of that it feels weird for me to then say “I learned all this this way, but the next group can’t.” I also haven’t built anything nearly as complex.
Sure, I get that. I've given away a year of work myself, with this ideal in mind partly driving it. It's not all or nothing.
I tried http://Fast.AI but I think approached it with too much optimism. Completing the lessons resulted in getting bogged down in constant errors and quickly losing motivation. Any advice to push through it?
How long ago was this? They've really streamlined the install and the notebooks lately (within the past two years I'd say).
