if the curve flattens long enough, architectures will get really interesting (as well as algorithms) however, I suspect another Moore-Better law will emerge by then.

That's already happening to a certain extent I think- we're going the "heterogeneous computing" route that I think Ray Kurzweil has mentioned before. Tensor Cores are a good example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heterogeneous_computing …
