I think you’re safe in that 9/10 geniuses aren’t entrepreneurs. You are. When all else is equal, it’s being able to express an entrepreneurial spirit that makes a big difference.
Ha believe me, I just try hard. You'd probably be disappointed if you met me. For fun, I routinely do back of napkin calculations like that ("how many people actually clear this/that hurdle") to figure out where we probably are competitively. Can't be too confident but it helps.
Haha what I mean is even if people have your source code - most of them aren’t going to turn it into a viable business. Right? How many people can pretty much do anything. Self driving cars, state of the art object detection etc. they don’t make money from it
