To elaborate: I was pretty certain what I was learning was largely junk knowledge/trivia that was just there because of the quirks of the platform and bad decisions that aren't being undone baked into javascript years ago. I don't regret the decision.

I can't stand JavaScript, is so inconsistent, everyday everything changes and stops working, debugging it is so painful, you have to learn 7274738 different frameworks, it's not worth the time, I was hoping
@Google 's Dart could replace it, it doesn't look like it though
