The UK is a small island nation, and we've got a pretty decent high score in this Covid game.
Way more people in the UK (66.5 million vs 4.88 million), and way more visitors (36 million vs 3.88 million ). New Zealand also cut off their borders almost entirely. Not saying the UK couldn't do that but it does seem like comparing apples and oranges.

Yeah, for sure, but it just goes to show how much a little laziness can achieve. We have more Covid cases than the rest of the EU put together, so connections to our neighbours can't account for everything.
