1/ My unpopular take: Free and Open Source Software culture often goes way past the point of absurdity in its idealism. It often winds up doing to software what file sharing did to music: It devalues the work and the creators behind it, and it breeds an entitlement culture.

I guess I think of open source as an API for technology companies to collaborate in a way that involves minimal lawyers, contracts, and red tape. It's super hard to start a formal partnership, but it's easy to push to a shared GitHub. IMO this is the tech industry's secret weapon
