Let's be really careful not to sugar coat or distract from what is being talked about here. We're too quick to normalize this shit from the president. It is simply not acceptable for the *president to call for an armed rebellion in blue states.

Her quote from the NBC News story came first, the quote I pulled came when she realized someone had found out she wasn't a Trump supporter. You said people are "dying because they believe their dear leader's every word" - which may well be true. But that was not the case here.
Well ok, that's a detail I didn't catch. You got me. But that doesn't detract from the main point that his words have a lot of influence and he's being totally reckless. If the most charitable way to characterize what he does is "trolling"...yikes. That's our president?

Ugh, this is what I'm afraid of. I'm not trying to "get" you. I just think that people tend to read into his words (or read stories where a journo reads into his words) and then run with the interpretation rather than the reality, and doing this isn't beneficial for anyone.

And I agree. I'd much prefer the president to be a statesman.
