1/ In case anybody is confused about what I'm willing to do for free as an open source maintainer, here's something I just replied with on a "choosing beggar" type request on DeOldify: "In short, I'm not here to support everybody's needs/wants."
2/ "I'm here to put out my research and make it so that others can play around with it and make something out of it if they have the technical know-how and persistence to do it. That's it." Wasn't well received, as expected. Sorry. I have self respect and other things to do.
3/ Oh, and if I say Windows is not supported, it's really not going to be supported. And if you're making a custom fork and then run into problems because you inadvertently introduced a problem, then I'm not here to be your remote debugger and mind reader!

you were nicer than I would have been. I wouldn't have bothered to explain, Id have just told the guy he was free to look at the source code and closed it. it didnt strike me like he had made a good faith effort to figure it out for himself and that's a non-starter for me.
