Shooting someone on Fifth Avenue and getting away with it seems like a minor indiscretion compared with killing thousands of New Yorkers by refusing to order the manufacture of ventilators.

This is America isn't it? Do we really need "an order from the president" to manufacture ventilators? When demand skyrockets, so do prices. Everyone is incentivized to ramp production to fill that demand. This isn't a problem that can be solved by executive order.
New York is going to need those ventilators this week. They can't be created that fast. And there's already thousands of them that FEMA has that are locked up. By the *president. Yes. It's a problem that the corrupt idiot president is causing.

Agree that they can't be made fast enough. The claim was that Trump should *order* the manufacture of ventilators. FEMA has ~12k stockpiled and they've sent 1/3 of them to NY. *Maybe* they should send more, but fundamentally there is a shortage that the president cannot solve
