If you open source the model you'd be giving away you main competitive advantage right? Sure, infrastructure and such also matters, but a decent ML engineer can spin up your model in a weekend and try to undercut you. Reddit, Facebook etc. have network effects, bad comparison
Yeah it's an apples and oranges comparison with Reddit/Facebook. Agreed on this.
