5/ world, it's very likely it's just not actually an accurate mental model. Grounding your mental model to constant reality checks is crucial, because reality is messy and hugely complex, and all our brains want to do is simplify and ignore key details.
6/ But aside from that, it's just more fulfilling to actually make something out of what's been in your head for years. I just wish I figured that out way sooner!
