1/ Random hot take: There really is a such thing as reading too much. I know I'm not alone in this: Some of us love to dig into reading about all the little corners of the world around us, in particular having a strong preference for non-fiction. It's all so fascinating!

5/ world, it's very likely it's just not actually an accurate mental model. Grounding your mental model to constant reality checks is crucial, because reality is messy and hugely complex, and all our brains want to do is simplify and ignore key details.
