4/ enticed me to leave. Oh and the beer scene is so great. Scuba diving at night with the countless curious octopuses at La Jolla shores never gets old. Oh and my wife also loves all these things, so if I ever lose my mind and decide to want to go for a job in Silicon Valley,

5/ she reels me back in. And I’m so glad she does. I value her and our relationship more than any $$$ and prestige that could be found elsewhere. So I guess my point is: Let’s be a little more nuanced about these highly complex and anxiety inducing subjects!

And I'm just here in Europe wondering how you guys in the US seem to find that 92k is underpaid. I think there's so much more complexity to this, economies are vastly different in different areas / contexts. 2 people doing the same job also do not create the same value.
