Generally speaking, I actually think that human-based art is never going to go away, and isn’t going to be replaced by “the machines”. If anything else, art is the highest form of human expression. It’s what we should be striving to do more of, not less.

Human art won't go away but it may be drowned out by massive amounts of AI-generated art. Much like handmade goods vs mass production. A problem only if art is made to sell, and not for art's sake.

Agreed. It really boils down to whether we continue to support and value art for art’s sake. That’s why I feel compelled to talk about this. I don’t want to be contributing to the dystopia you describe!
