Generally speaking, I actually think that human-based art is never going to go away, and isn’t going to be replaced by “the machines”. If anything else, art is the highest form of human expression. It’s what we should be striving to do more of, not less.

I personally like to believe that #DeOldify supplements and helps me with my works instead of replacing my works. DeOldify can and will introduce more people to world of colourising and I don’t think that’s a bad thing for a manual colorist like me :)
The world isn’t so black and white (pun not intended), the introduction of machine learning does not spell the death of manual colourising. I think there’ll be new interests in the subject and hopefully my works will be picked up by more ppl as well :D
