Maybe a silly question, but how do you colorize? I mean, how do you know that the colour or shading chosen is also the colour that was there in reality?
The ai model learns a whole mix of recognizing what objects are (and therefore what color they should be), as well as deriving likely colors based on other characteristics and some context in the photos.

For try to colorize and read more about the procedure. Beeing a media scientist I have always been sceptical about colorizing, but I want to read more about today's programmes etc
