@citnaj I know you're not directly responsible for the DeepAI implementation of DeOldify, but I wanted to let you know about my experience. 1) Washed out images. Washed out, or over bright images, do not color correctly, regardless of whether or not they have been adjusted

2) Silver-saturated color stock photos. Even near solid blue photos have distinguishing colors, but greens suffer and often interpreted as cyan. 3) Kodachrome. Nearly 100% perfect. There are artifacts, but nothing too surprising. 4) Sepia tone images are improved

by desaturizing the image or converting to B&W. Color saturation is often improved by adjusting the contrast first, however, colorization may not be improved by adjusting the contrast first. Post processing and adjusting the saturation is necessary.

Overall, most images suffer from too much magenta. That said, I am in awe of the amount of information gained while between a black and white and color photo. Nevertheless, kudos! I've had fun "Deoldifying" images and sharing them with family and history groups.
