      Wow! That's insanely pretty! And I love how it gets lil details: socks for a kid, flowers for the dress... What would happen if you give it a pic with flags? Either state flags, or something like navy signal flags? Will is just spitball random solid colors, or?..

      Thanks! It actually does get American flags right at least- I've seen that much. It clearly recognizes what those are and I know they're in the training set. It does do other flags -sometimes- and it's not random- there's other cues for color (optics rules it appears to learn).

      I have an update on our old discussion: you know what obvious thing is really underrepresented in the training set for (at least DeepAI's) deoldify? Soviet photos! :) Not surprisingly. But as a result, it doesn't know about Soviet flags. Like, all of this should be red :)pic.twitter.com/ESHOEp2a96

      Haha, I'm glad to have found a missing cultural competency! :) It's fun! But in some way, it's almost generalized intelligence kind of bar. Like: old photo, Cyrillic letters (or maybe, one day, even a translation: "Glory to the USSR") - has to be red! But it's a very high bar!pic.twitter.com/ZPkmWRBomq

      I played with the free version for quite some time today. For example, below it seems to, very hesitantly, notice Soviet symbols and correctly guess red.
