is there any dataset needed to train the model?
Like a particularly special one that's different from the current open source (Imagenet)...? No you could still just use that. I'm using something a bit different than that though.

i mean... how the program could determine the color, the term deep learning always identical with learning/training process right?

Oh well I'm creating the black and white photos synthetically by taking the existing color images and transforming them to black and white with noise, altered contrast/brightness etc to simulate "old" photos. If that answers your question.
