Not to me, and I'm 40. Not saying you can't burn yourself out if you love what you're doing—you can, if you don't get sleep, maintain relationships, etc. But for me personally, I've experienced burnout multiple times, and it was always because I hated what I was doing.

Hating what you're doing certainly accelerates it. I think what you just said there though about sleep/relationships/etc- that's definitely it but that's also the first thing that tends to go to the wayside if you're trying to optimize for work!

It's a strange tweet, as nobody said that it's bad to work hard. I think that guy is clumsily trying to find a reason why he's special, and maybe purposefully missing the point about "working hard != jeopardizing your health". He's welcome to try out the Japanese system

where people die from overwork all the time and productivity is lower than countries with work life balance. Working yourself to death isn't productive, it turns out. It's also not fun, unsurprisingly.
