Agreed. This is the sort of thing a lot of us are deathly afraid of commenting on because quite frankly you don’t want to be perceived as “the enemy”. If you want to win over others to your cause, being absolutist and alienating like this isn’t on the whole helping.https://twitter.com/theshawwn/status/1209851457945718784 …

Re: approach - a lot of times, on Twitter you're not getting the full picture. The more I learn about Anima's experience, the more appalled I am at what she's gone through (read thread to the gun threats, or her blog).

I don’t doubt that. The issues are very real and that we’re just now really acknowledging them is insane. I personally think it’d really help to work more on the education part than targeting individuals with what amounts to a “Twitter mob” like this.

I'm going to be totally honest with you because I think you can take it. The tweet you're quoting is tone policing a tweet raising a way more important issue than "someone's feeling as a majority that has power". There's better times to do that. Purposefully or not, it distracts

And secondly, I don't think majority people get to decide how minorities fight their fight. In this particular case, you might not realize it, but even minorities are asked to be allies to other minorities. We're on the receiving end of "ally or not" too.
