Sure. I mean a real AI or AGI perspective. Very close to zero progress made in that direction unfortunately.
That’s what I figured you meant. But isn’t that a bit unfair considering all the real gains to be made by stuff that’s not necessary a bridge to AGI but still is very effective? And why would AGI necessarily be the goal?

I dont want to take away from any success and uses ML has. It's a great tool but in the light of what marcus was discussing it's only hype when discussed in relation to AGI.
