2/ of energy, heated emotion and time getting carried away with what often just amount to ridiculous caricatures of reality and other people in our heads. It seems to me this is particularly amplified and problematic these days because we’re spending more and more time
3/ with pushing these groundless symbols around in our heads,via social media, office work, and then going on to the unreality of media. I do wonder how much of this contributes to how conspiracy theories and complete disconnects from reality in general proliferate.
I can imagine that spending too much time on the Internet and too little time with real people might cause a certain kind of madness.
