3/ with pushing these groundless symbols around in our heads,via social media, office work, and then going on to the unreality of media. I do wonder how much of this contributes to how conspiracy theories and complete disconnects from reality in general proliferate.

I'm very interested in this problem with Codex: the disentanglement of words and referents, by directly annotating ambiguity (or multiple interpretation). A tool for separating word from thought could have value both in communication (with others) and analysis.

Humans use heuristics (aka Cognitive biases) to navigate the information space. The flaws of these heuristics are magnified by increasing cognitive load. One kind of load is information overload.

The problem you’re describing seems to me paralleled in ML with training a GAN with limited training info with no reintroduction of data. Reality checks and some status meetings are good for us and I expect would be good for GANs too. We can learn from our creations too! :)
