I’m surprised this has to be said... wasn’t this obvious all along? Or do people never read their employee contracts beyond the shiny numbers??

There’s a lot of closing ones eyes and pinching one’s nose when it comes down to “I just need money”. Sometimes it’s the lack of ethics you’ll be propping up that get ignored. But often we even hurt ourselves directly in the process. I hope this changes.

Yeah, lot of reasons why one might knowingly sign up for something like this... I don’t hold it against anyone who does... just that I thought everyone knows this is the norm at all companies, so was surprised to see so many likes/RTs for that tweet!
