I 100% agree with you Jason. To me, what Chris's tweet is speaking to, is also the horrible perfectionism. Nothing is ever good enough, nothing you create is production, show-time ready. You never say the perfect thing in the moment. You could always do better. As a kid, I was

super hooked up on getting good grades. That is a shame cause learning for its own sake is fun. Now that my daughter started 1st grade, I vowed to throw her a party (kid champagne, chips, movie) whenever she gets anything below an A. So far only one party, a C from her karate

That's a bold policy! It seems like there's even more pressure for kids now than when I was doing it to myself as a kid (yeah...same story as you for me on being hooked on good grades). Know of anybody else doing this?

@fastdotai made me realize how important it is to reflect on how to learn and to question cookie cutter education systems, and more importantly leaves me wondering how I should approach things for my children. If you have any ideas as parents please do share !1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
Agreed- it really got me thinking actively about how to learn effectively and to plan around that. I even read “Making Learning Whole”, which @fastdotai modeled their teaching methods around, because I was blown away by how effective the education was and I wondered why.
