Yeah that's really something that concerns me when I see stuff like this. Understandably, people like Bob seem to be viewed as the ones that have privilege and then should therefore be knocked down a peg. But the I don't think the resulting derision and posturing is helping.

Is the pile on really from this statement alone? There is more context if you go back in his timeline a week or two. He is putting out more and more abstract statements that appear more innocent or naive than they actually are.

Yeah I might be missing something. I know he has been called out on stuff like this before so it can certainly be plausible that at this point he may be trolling quite deliberately and knowing full well what he's doing.
