I wonder how much it would cost to set up a service like http://colorize.ml again, because it pains me to see people colorizing with http://colourise.sg and end up with greenish/greyish-looking pics when the tech is here to do much better…
It’s expensive to run a server like that and that’s one of the big reasons it was ultimately shut down from what I understand. I’ve been working on optimizing to get this stuff to run directly on phones instead (or perhaps a normal desktop). It works :)

And by this you mean no Nvidia required, right? Does it still require a GPU, or does it run on the CPU only?

You can feasibly run it on CPU nowadays. That part has a lot more to do with work on PyTorch itself (not by me).
