I like how some people use the word "obsession" and others "passion" Words that mean nearly the same thing, just with very different connotations ;) Any examples of such problems you've thought long about over time?
1/ Besides DeOldify- Pretty much any software project I’ve done that has had any impact was done in a very long term, iterative kind of way where I didn’t know fully where it was going. A big multi-year Quick Test Pro replacement, reworking the company’s forms and insurance

2/ quote engines; A highly complex business rules engine; A media player I made that took http://last.fm info to make playlists based on some funky combinations. I could go on but these things all took a lot of time but had the most impact.
