Thanks for sharing. This is an interesting discussion for a 29 yo coder. Don't you partially agree that you made a satisfying career because you put a lot of time and effort on what you do? Isn't life just a matter of choice, and we will never be fully satisfied?
Sure- all that work helped tremendously. For optimizing for certain things. Is it satisfying? Oddly not particularly- once you climb one hill you just find another to climb. You know- the hedonic treadmill, basically. Of course it’s easy to say that now.

I now feel the same way about my early-mid 20s. I used to sit in my dorm and coded a lot. I do not regret spending my time on coding but I wish I had put myself around similar peers. Now I try to do it but u know, coders are not the most social people :D
