It’s not an easy choice to know exactly how we should be spending our time and in fact this can be one of the most anxiety inducing things. But I do know for sure I don’t want to default to -just coding-. That’s so one dimensional and boring.

Agree!! I saw that thread and had thoughts! 1) we define success too narrowly. 2) coding outside work for career success is essentially work and this optimising of our lives for a narrowly defined "success" is a burden we are all collectively carrying.
