This colourisation of the 1927 movie 'Metropolis' both fascinated and impressed me. It went live on-line a week ago as an amateur fan project. It's got a rather lovely period quality to it

This is cool to hear coming from a film colorizer like yourself. DeOldify's biggest detractors tend to be colorizers. This project came out of nowhere and pleasantly surprised me too. They really know how to use the software effectively (I wrote it).
