Right, they will be punished because they got caught. As they should. They can start a new career or work to redeem themselves by putting out honest work. The idea that they should be shielded from consequences blows me away.

Honestly man I get your points however IMO those just need to fix the situation. Give him back the credit in the paper. They are screwed anyway. All trace of internet of them even precious unrelated blog posts are gone. Still as long as Jason will not get the credit back ...
