Personally though I do get a non1negligible degree of satisfaction seeing people publicly called out for bad behavior, I would probably to try to resolve these things privately, if only just to not appear petty...

I don’t think Nathan was saying you appear petty, for the record. I think he was just saying that he’d be afraid of appearing that way and so would take extra precautions to avoid it. Not a judgement on you. I guess your answer still applies tho :-)

Oh yeah I didn't take it as that. I just know that if you want things righted, sometimes it's just best to drag it into the sunlight. Especially if what you're dealing with is so brazenly unethical- there's no misunderstanding here to be sorted out.
