Wow, if you have written proof that they said they would keep you FIRST author... I don't know, I think that would be good reason to contact the organization responsible for the publication. It seems it should be amended or retracted.

This should be avoided. Already a bulk of papers are being published everyday which are hard to keep track of and publishing the similar work won't add any value current focus should be on quality than quantity.
