Is the software easy to use? Have you got a link?

/3 I should also add- You could just as well use the "artist" DeOldify model to start with more colorful frames. The video model sacrifices a bit of color quality to achieve stability. Skin in particular should look better with artistic.

Thanks again. Is there a different link for the artistic version?

Well there's an artistic image model, just to be clear (not video, but you'll be able to do key frames just fine with this): https://colab.research.google.com/github/jantic/DeOldify/blob/master/ImageColorizerColab.ipynb … . Pain in the butt part is that it only takes images URLs. This might be a case where you'd want to have a local install.

That being said, you could theoretically put your key frame images on an image hosting website to work with this, but admittedly that's a bit goofy. We specifically stuck with just URLs rather than supporting uploads just to simplify the interface of the notebook.

You can drag a file right from an OS file manager into a specific Colab file manager directory -- so you could check the path and if it starts with / then just check the Colab filesystem.

Then add in the instructions 'right on your image in the file directory and pick copy-path'

You -can- and we thought about doing that. But then.... tech support. That’s really what it boils down to. People get too confused too quickly when you have multiple options, based on previous efforts.
