Is the software easy to use? Have you got a link?
I haven't used it myself yet but apparently it's quite easy, though limited: A single key frame that guides subsequent frames and works as long as the scene isn't changing too dramatically. So you'd have to break up changing scenes with new key frames accordingly.

That's pretty much it, you need to basically run the sequence out of the software with multiple passes, then transition between them manually. Then matte the luma back on top again. Of course the results are only as good as the information the artist puts in!
