That’s not really a fair comparison. The difference is we already have a biological precedent for what AGI research is trying to achieve- human brains! Time machines- well, at this point we don’t really have anything remotely close to a proof of concept....

I wasn't really going for fairness here
It was more meant as satirizing what I find an almost religious fervor towards "building AGI".
1. I actually don't think it's possible (but admittedly this is as much a belief as that we _can_)
