Has anyone seen an example of fine-tuning @citnaj's DeOldify for other datasets yet (eg colorizing cartoons instead of photos)?

You should definitely be able to do this. Animation and etchings can already be colored in with DeOldify actually and there’s some great examples. Not perfect (esp since it’s not explicitly trained for it). But you can see the potential.

How long did this take you? I'd love to try a depth-map -> real-color-image version of this. It'd be pretty wild trained on an art dataset...

Me? There was no additional work on my part for what I mentioned could be done with the current model. But if you were to finetune- probably a day (?). Haven’t tried that yet...
