I don't think people are actually thinking about their opinions. They've been held for so long by the dominant social group that those who've benefitted from patriarchal structures adhere blindly because it reinforces their power. It's mindless adherence.

Like, film the exact same ad but have it with Obama narrating and a joke about how no presidents have had beards and I'm 100% on board. But if I show up to a Cheesecake Factory and the waiter gives a speech about body acceptance before bringing out the water I'm confused.
