Not at all language specific! It's a very generalized concept. Definitely helpful for Python. The overarching goal is to make code readable and understandable.

#1 problem in code as far as I've seen is programmers writing themselves (or others) into a corner with incomprehensible code. That means bugs in the minds of the coders, and therefore bugs wind up in the code. Or progress just grinds to a halt.
