Yesterday someone (ML, CS PhD, Stanford) said he would not hire a person who is online educated in Machine Learning. Who here agrees and who thinks differently?

Let’s correlate answers with type of education. Suggest close to 100% of non-online educated (i.e. conventional) will say “would not hire” and vice versa.

Lol I think you’re mostly right. I actually have a BS in CS and through my experience at work over the years I came around to actually pretty much just ignoring resumes (at best, they’re superficial). And then I went the MOOC path for deep learning- seemed like the best option.

..and hence I vote “just look at the code”. It’s at least reliable for getting skilled employees. I haven’t figured out the rest yet....
