the algorithm favors blue and red a lot. do you know why?
Yes that's a good observation! I'm not -quite- sure yet what's causing it but I've seen progress on making colors more diverse when I make the model bigger (more parameters). It almost seems like some sort of "mode collapse" though (common problem in GANS).
Mode collapse in random image generation (usual GAN use case) would be where the same few images (with minor variations) are produces over an over again, rather than presenting a more diverse range. But this colorization with GANs stuff is new territory as far as I know
So therefore this is all one big research project for me and it's a bit like feeling in the dark right now.

this is one of my favorite GAN projects right now (other would be fashion and landscape work by @DrBeef_).
I'd like to recommend this photo, if it's not too much trouble! (one of my favorites of all time)https://twitter.com/LamaAlRajih/status/1061694633581993984?s=19 …
Lama added,
Oh I love that photo! Let me see...shouldn't take too long....
I tried getting rid of the zombie hand but it just isn't happening yet. I think this will look better soon (latest model is still early in training, and this came from that). I'll keep an eye on this one and post it on my feed when it's ready!pic.twitter.com/Ym1y5o37NQ
thank you! :)
