DeOldify Progress Update: http://Fast.AI 1.0 is a bit unstable still, it turns out. The conda install, for example, isn't currently matching what is in source on some pretty fundamental items. Instead, I'll focus on making current install as streamlined as possible.

It may turn out i'll just stick with 0.7 if the above plan works. Ease of use/maintenance is what I'm looking for right now. Also, this doesn't necessarily preclude a Pytorch upgrade- I'll try that next with http://Fast.AI 0.7 .

UPDATE: Now the install is like this: git clone https://github.com/jantic/DeOldify.git … DeOldify cd DeOldify conda env create -f environment.yml source activate deoldify jupyter lab I think that's an improvement..right? I mean..it's still just easy in a Linux geek sense. But..better.
